Toronto (March 8, 2019) — Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) is proud to celebrate International Women’s Day and commit to #BalanceforBetter. This year, BLG’s campaign is highlighted by a short video featuring The Honourable Louise Arbour outlining different reasons why gender balance is essential for businesses to thrive. The firm also hosted a discussion with Madame Arbour that was broadcast live to each office.

BLG believes in providing women with every opportunity to develop, excel and become leaders in their chosen field. It is through this kind of firm support that women team members across BLG have been recognized on different platforms for their work across the legal industry. In addition to being appointed as Regional Group Manager of the Commercial Litigation Group in Toronto, Cait Sainsbury was named among the 2018 Lexpert® Rising Stars. Cindy Clarke was the recipient of the Lexpert® Zenith Award for Mid-Career Excellence, while Éloïse Gratton was named one of the WXN’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada, receiving the CIBC Trailblazers & Trendsetters award for her pioneering work in privacy law.

Gender balance is critical to the success of our firm. BLG is proud that two-thirds of our workforce are women who contribute to the success of the firm each and every day.
