Page ContentBackground Casey L. Leggett is an Associate at our Vancouver office. He was admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 2009 and to the Quebec Bar in 2008. Prior to joining the Firm, Casey practiced civil and commercial litigation in Montreal as a member of another leading national law firm. He speaks fluent French and English. Casey is a graduate of McGill University where he obtained degrees in both the Civil and Common Law. At McGill, he was a member of the executive of the McGill Legal Information Clinic and sat on its board of directors. Prior to law school, he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, graduating with distinction. Areas of Practice Casey practices in the area of civil and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on labour and employment, human rights, judicial review, defamation and construction law. Professional Experience He has acted for clients involved in litigation before the Court of Appeal for British Columbia, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the Federal Court of Canada, as well as the Quebec Superior Court and the Quebec Court, and his experience ranges across a variety of areas, including employment litigation, grievance arbitration, commercial contract disputes, defamation, appeals and judicial review, as well as advocacy before specialized tribunals, including the BC Human Rights Tribunal.
