Purpose of Role

The Specialist, E-Billings is responsible for submitting, assisting, coordinating, proactively monitor and transfer, when needed, all that is related to E-Billings. The Specialist, E-Billings is responsible for meeting the responsibilities of the role.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Submit invoices to client’s E-billing system
  • Coordinate set-up of new E-billing matters
  • Reconciliation of e-bills to e-billing vendor sites
  • Responsible for responding to questions regarding client/matter, timekeeper and billing rates
  • Upload timekeeper, rates and budget information to e-billing system
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements
  • Resolve e-billing rejections and appeals
  • Work with Client Services Dept. in e-billing account maintenance and A/R monitoring
  • Other accounting duties assigned

Key Competencies Required

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience providing administrative support (including billing) in a law firm or
    professional services environment
  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field
  • Proficiency in oral and written bilingualism (French and English)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and other systems implemented by the Firm
  • Committed to furthering their knowledge to remain up-to-date on current technology and best practices
  • Ability to work as a team member under minimal supervision
  • Good organization skills and ability to work under time pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Understanding of accounting theory
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
