Jessica Yeung is a trademark agent in our Intellectual Property Group in our Vancouver office. Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, Jessica has extensive experience in all areas of the Canadian trademark practice, including preparation of trademark availability analysis, preparation and prosecution of trademark applications, opposition proceedings, trademark licensing and property right transfers. She advises clients in both public and private sectors on all areas of Canadian trademark laws, and assists them with their trademark needs in foreign countries. She also advises and assists foreign trademark owners directly on Canadian trademark law, and is experienced in managing international trademark portfolios.
Jessica received the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada's Endowment Memorial Prize for attaining the highest overall marks on the trademark examinations in her qualifying year (2002). Although she has a law degree from the University of Hong Kong, she has not yet obtained a certification of qualification (necessary for foreign-trained professionals to practise in Canada) through the Federation of Law Societies' National Committee on Accreditation.
