Christina Vincent is a paralegal with the Corporate Commercial Litigation Group specializing in Competition and Marketing Law in the Toronto office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP. Christina became a licenced paralegal with the Law Society of Upper Canada in 2012, with a background in Tax Recovery. She has experience working on various matters involving civil litigation, bankruptcy and insolvency, jurisdictional issues, and tort claims.
Within the Competition and Marketing Law Group, Christina focuses on compliance matters with respect to competition and regulatory authorities as well as investigating corporate transactions.
Christina’s responsibilities relate to all aspects of managing a litigation file, including forensic computer examinations; document management and reporting; preparation of pleadings and briefs; summarizing evidence at the discovery and trial stages; trial preparation; and performing legal research. Christina also has experience in a variety of electronic document management programs and database management.
Christina’s scope of knowledge includes the Competition Act, Competition Tribunal Act, Competition Tribunal Rules, Rules of Civil Procedure, Federal Courts Act, Income Tax Act, Excise Tax Act, Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, Supreme Court Act andthe Rules of the Supreme Court of Canada.
