Executive Summary

Graham Splawski is an Associate in the Toronto office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP and a member of the Commercial Litigation and Arbitration Group.

Graham acts for clients in respect of a variety of matters, including:

  • Banking litigation;
  • Class actions;
  • Contractual disputes;
  • Fraud;
  • Judicial review and administrative law;
  • Securities litigation;
  • Shareholder disputes; and
  • Wills and estates.

Graham also has experience obtaining ex parte and injunctive relief, including Anton Piller Orders (civil search), Mareva Injunctions (asset freezing) and Norwich Pharmacal Orders (pre-action discovery).

Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Graham summered and articled in BLG's Toronto office.

  • Acted for a junior issuer in successfully blocking the first hostile takeover bid under the new regulatory regime.
  • Acts for public companies in litigation related to business combinations and other transactions.
  • Acts for regulatory bodies in judicial review proceedings.
  • Acts for a major insurer in fraud-related proceedings.
  • Acts for commercial clients to enforce non-competition and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Acts for corporations and partnerships in oppression actions and other shareholder disputes.
  • Acts for insiders and registrants in defence of regulatory proceedings at the Ontario Securities Commission and self-regulatory organizations.
