Executive Summary

Louis Richard is an associate in the Commercial Litigation Group in our Montréal office. He practices in the field of civil litigation; mainly counselling clients, drafting legal opinions and proceedings as well as courtroom representation.

During his employment with the firm, Louis was seconded to work in the legal department of one of Canada’s major banks.

While in law school, he served as a student volunteer with the National Pro Bono Network, providing legal services to businesses in and around Gatineau. Louis’s first degree was in management and, before joining our office, he managed a team in the Department of National Defence.

He speaks French and English fluently.

Representative Work

  • He is working on the team representing the Canadian Pacific Railway company in the class action arising out of the Lac-Mégantic accident.
