Gordon Raman is a partner at the Toronto office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP. Gordon practises in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and corporate governance, advising senior management and boards of public and private companies in M&A transactions. He also advises issuers and underwriters in corporate finance transactions of equity and debt securities, including high-yield securities and green bonds. Gordon assists both issuers and investors in capital investments in private companies and private equity firms in fund formation and investments. In addition, Gordon works with technology companies.
Gordon is the former Chair of the Toronto committee dealing with the recruitment and training of summer and articling students. He is actively involved in conducting workshops for both students and associates in various areas of corporate law.
Gordon was seconded for a period to a large technology company in order to provide day-to-day legal advice and to assist in developing a process for the provision of continuing legal advice to the company. As part of his MBA studies, he completed an exchange program at Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris in France.
