Executive Summary

Scott Pundsack is a lawyer and patent agent, and a partner in the Toronto office of BLG.  Scott specializes in patents related to clean technology and life sciences including water, green chemistry, bio-based materials, biogas, hydrogen, membrane technology and drug delivery.  Scott is particularly active in patenting municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment technology using physical, chemical and biological methods.  

In addition to drafting patent applications and prosecuting them through the patent office, Scott is active in contentious and corrective procedures such as protests, reissues, re-examinations and litigation.  Scott also manages litigation and oppositions for companies involved in international disputes.

Scott is recognized in the IAM Patent 1000, as a patent star by MIP, and in the Who's Who Legal Patents directory.

  • Advises clients in the water, biofuels and biomaterials industries on patent valuation and investments in technology ventures.
  • Acts on the advisory board of a company developing nanoparticle drug delivery systems.
