Executive Summary

Andrea Pitts is a lawyer and registered trademark agent in our Ottawa office. Andrea practices intellectual property law with an emphasis on trademarks and copyright.

Andrea advises clients on all aspects relating to trademarks including clearance, prosecution, opposition, cancellation, enforcement, and licensing. She has a wide range of experience assisting in the acquisition of trademarks and trademark portfolio management for many national and global companies in various sectors including health science, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and high-tech.

Andrea has also represented clients before the Federal Court in matters relating to copyright.

Prior to joining BLG, Andrea obtained a Master of Science (MSc) for her research on neurodegenerative diseases and was awarded the Gold Medal in her undergraduate Cell Biology program.
