Barbara Pim has been a law clerk in the Toronto office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP since 1986. A member of the Health Law Group, she focuses on medical malpractice and occupiers' liability cases.
Barbara assists with all stages of health law files, including preparation of case status reports, budgets, pleadings, preparation for discovery, post-discovery analysis, motions, facta, briefs of authorities, briefs for experts, preparation for mediations, pre-trials, trials, costs outlines, settlement documentation and file management throughout.
Barbara has significant experience in defence civil litigation cases, including health law, occupiers' liability, product liability, professional errors and omissions, municipal liability, aviation law, libel and slander, construction law, family law, collections and commercial litigation, together with plaintiffs' personal injury cases.
Within the Health Law Group, she is often involved in trial preparation. Her scope of knowledge includes practical experience gained over the past 35+ years of practice and practical applications of the Rules of Civil Procedure.
