Executive Summary

Heather Pessione is Borden Ladner Gervais’ Toronto Office Research Partner. In her practice, Heather assists lawyers with litigation and related legal strategy and conducting and directing research. Heather also drafts opinions, pleadings, factums, and publications.

Heather also specializes in appellate and public law advocacy, and acts as co-ordinator for the firm’s Public Law Group.

Heather was a summer and articling student at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, and joined the Firm as an associate in September 2006. Before becoming a lawyer, Heather studied bioethics. Her master’s thesis focused on her main areas of interest: prenatal testing, genetic counselling and disability rights.
