Executive Summary

Carmen Marolla is a senior paralegal in the Commercial Litigation Department of our Vancouver office. Carmen drafts pleadings, chambers applications and settlement proposals, and also compiles, assesses and presents evidence on large‑scale matters in both general and specialized areas of litigation.  Carmen assists the Firm’s lawyers and clients with facilitating the efficient resolution of a wide variety of litigation matters including defamation claims, real estate, securities, fraud, professional liability, intellectual property, construction, transportation, and personal injury.  As well, Carmen has mentored a number of junior paralegals, and has given internal presentations on the subjects of legal drafting and preparing bills of costs.

Carmen has experience with procedure in the Supreme Courts and Courts of Appeal of British Columbia and the Northwest Territories, and Nova Scotia, as well as the Federal Court and Supreme Court of Canada.  She is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the electronic precedents of the Vancouver office’s British Columbia Supreme Court and Court of Appeal forms.
