Executive Summary

Mary Jane Lemenchick is a partner in our Intellectual Property Group based in Ottawa.  Mary Jane is a member of the Partnership Board, the Firm's governing body. A registered Canadian Trademark Agent since 1989, Mary Jane has extensive expertise in registrability opinions, prosecution, and the enforcement of rights through the Trademark Opposition Board and Summary Cancellation Proceedings. Mary Jane also has expertise in managing and supervising all aspects of national and international trademark portfolios. Mary Jane provides advice on French language requirements as well as on the implementation of Canada's new Trademark Act, and Canada's adherence to the Madrid Protocol.  Mary Jane has been recognized for 3 years as one of Canada's Leading  trademark practitioners in Expert Guides "World's Leading Trademark Law Professionals".  From 2008 to 2013 Mary Jane was Head of our Ottawa Intellectual Property Department and a member of our Ottawa Regional Management Committee.
