Executive Summary

​Ryan Laity is an associate in our Financial Services Group in our Vancouver office. Ryan's practice focuses on commercial lending and debt financing, as well as bankruptcy, insolvency and restructuring.

He has worked with both creditors and debtors in debt-financing and lending transactions of various types, including syndicated lending, asset-based lending, leveraged finance, and multi-jurisdictional financing. Ryan has also worked with creditors, insolvency professionals, and debtors in various insolvency-related matters, including corporate restructurings, bankruptcies, proposals, and receiverships under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.

 Ryan also acts for companies of various sizes on general corporate and commercial law matters.

Representative Work

  • ​Experience in commercial lending includes acting for financial institutions, private lenders and borrowers in a range of secured lending transactions.
  • Experience in bankruptcy and insolvency related matters includes acting for creditors, debtors, and trustees involved in corporate restructurings, bankruptcies and proposals under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.
