Executive Summary

Natalie Kolos practises civil litigation, including insurance law, municipal and police liability, product liability and occupiers' liability. She acts for municipalities, insurance companies and corporate clients in negligence claims respecting property damage, non-repair of roadways and sidewalks, motor vehicle accidents, water and sewage systems, and occupiers' liability. Natalie also acts for police services boards in claims including allegations of malicious prosecution, false arrest, negligent investigation, assault and breach of Charter rights. As well, she advises insurance clients on coverage issues and disputes. Natalie frequently appears before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and has experience conducting mediations and examinations for discovery.

Natalie joined the Toronto office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP as an associate, after having summered and articled at the Firm.

Representative Work

  • Represents municipalities, police services boards, insurance companies and corporate clients in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
  • Represents insurers before the Financial Services Commission of Ontario.
  • Advises insurance companies in coverage matters.
