Executive Summary

Ève Gaudet is a senior associate in our Corporate Commercial Litigation and Arbitration Group in our Montréal office. Ève primarily practises in the area of civil litigation. She acts in matters relating to infrastructure, shareholders' disputes, fraud, competition law and in extraordinary recourse proceedings. Ève regularly pleads before all Québec courts.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Laws from the Université de Montréal, Ève was called to the Québec Bar in 2012. Prior to her career in law, Ève earned a first Bachelor's degree in Communications and worked in the television and film production industry for several years.

She is a member of two boards of directors.

She speaks and writes French and English fluently. She also speaks and writes Portuguese.

Representative Work

​The following are among the representative mandates in which Ève Gaudet has been involved in recent years:

  • an important transportation dispute relating to the construction of the new bridge over the St. Lawrence River;
  • a lawsuit between shareholders relating to a major real estate project on Mount Royal;
  • a dispute over the termination of an agency contract, where she represented a large French wine producer;
  • a dispute concerning the temporary contamination of drinking water in the City of Longueuil;
  • injunction proceedings relating to the theft of compilations of statistical data belonging to an international company;
  • commercial disputes regarding the disappearance of goods during their carriage by land and air;
  • injunction proceedings for the reinstatement of a member of a professional association;
  • accompanying the victim's family during the trial of the case of The Queen v. Luka Rocco Magnotta.
