Executive Summary

Maureen Doherty is an associate in the Toronto office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP and a member of the Commercial Litigation and Arbitration group. In addition to her general commercial litigation practice, Maureen practices in the area of securities and banking litigation, providing representation to clients in civil and regulatory proceedings. Maureen has appeared at several levels of court in Ontario and the Newfoundland Supreme Court — Trial Division and the Newfoundland Court of Appeal.

Maureen has experience obtaining ex parte and injunctive relief having worked on several injunctions including interim and interlocutory injunctions, permanent injunctions, Anton Piller Orders (civil search) and Mareva Injunctions.

Maureen is also an active contributor to "THE EXCHANGE: BLG's Financial Institutions Litigation Blog."

Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Maureen summered and articled in BLG's Toronto office.

  • Acts for registrants in defence of regulatory proceedings at the Ontario Securities Commission, Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada and Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada.
