Leanne Desbarats  


Executive Summary

Leanne Desbarats is an associate in our Commercial Litigation and Arbitration Group in our Calgary office. Leanne primarily focuses her practice on commercial litigation and regulatory law, with an emphasis on energy and environmental law, however she also has widespread general litigation experience in diverse matters including intellectual property law and estate law disputes. Leanne has broad experience relating to complex oil and gas contractual disputes and has been involved in multiple electricity-related hearings before the Alberta Utilities Commission and the Northwest Territories Public Utilities Board. Leanne has experience in matters at all levels of Court in Canada, including drafting submissions to the Supreme Court of Canada, the Alberta Court of Appeal and the National Energy Board.
