Executive Summary

Shauna L. Crothers is a senior associate in our Financial Services Group in Calgary.  Her practice is focused on corporate finance and she has experience advising financial institutions and corporate clients on a wide range of financing transactions including syndicated bank financings, acquisition financings, asset and reserve based lending and cross-border financings.  In 2011, she completed an in-house secondment with the syndications group of one of the world's largest banking and financial services organizations.

Representative Work 

Ms. Crothers regularly advises financial institutions and corporate clients on secured and unsecured financing transactions.  Her recent experience involves advising:

  • a syndicate of lenders in connection with senior secured credit facilities in an aggregate amount of $430 million established in favour of a multi-national corporation with operations throughout North America, Europe, China and South Africa
  • a syndicate of lenders in connection with senior unsecured credit facilities in an aggregate amount of $925 million established in favour of a multi-national corporation with operations throughout North America, Australia, Middle East, Latin America, Europe and Asia
  • a syndicate of lenders in connection with senior secured credit facilities in the aggregate amount of $410 million established in favour of a private Alberta based agriculture company
  • a syndicate of lenders in connection with senior secured credit facilities in the aggregate amount of $300 million established in favour of a private home builder with operations throughout North America
  • a syndicate of lenders in connection with credit facilities in an aggregate amount of $320 million and U.S.$30 million established in favour of Parkland Fuel Corporation
  • a syndicate of lenders in connection with reserve-based credit facilities in an aggregate amount of $175 million established in favour of a private Calgary based oil and gas company
  • Birchcliff Energy Ltd. in connection with its senior secured reserve-based credit facilities in the aggregate amount of $800 million
  • A private company offering musical education programs, performances and exhibitions in connection with its syndicated credit facilities in the aggregate amount of $190 million
  • Enbridge Income Fund in connection with its syndicated credit facilities in the aggregate amount of $500 million
  • PetroBakken Energy Ltd. in connection with its $1 billion syndicated credit facility
