Executive Summary

​Naomi Calla is counsel in the Toronto office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP. She practises labour and employment law, with a special interest and focus on human rights law.

Naomi acts on behalf of employers in all forms of employment-related litigation. She has appeared as counsel before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, Ontario Labour Relations Board, Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal, the Superior Court of Ontario and the Ontario Divisional Court. She has also mediated and arbitrated many cases to successful resolution.

She joined BLG after summering and articling at the Firm.

Representative Work

  • Acting for employers in both the public and private sector in a wide range of matters, including advice on employee termination issues, structuring severance packages, hiring, employment contracts and policies and employee discipline.
  • Representing companies and organizations in respect of employment and service-based human rights applications.
  • Advising unionized clients on collective agreement administration and interpretation, collective bargaining and arbitration.
