Executive Summary

Katherine Ayre practises civil litigation specializing in defence work. Her practice includes aviation litigation; transportation; product liability; municipal liability; occupiers' liability including commercial host liability; and defending professional negligence claims. Her practice also necessarily involves pursuing subrogated claims on behalf of insured clients. As an associate in the Toronto office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, she has acted and assisted on matters involving all levels of court including Small Claims Court, Ontario Superior Court, Divisional Court, the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.

Prior to attending law school, Katherine became a glider pilot as well as a commercially licensed pilot for fixed-wing aircraft.
