Effective June 2, 2007, the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) has harmonized the Canadian format for submitting sequence listings with the PCT standard. Filed in Canada without taking the PCT route will not require conversion of the sequence listing prepared in PatentIn from the current Internationally acceptable format (numerical headings) to the previously required Canadian format (descriptive headings). Canadian Patent Rules will not lag behind changes or updates to the PCT standards.
