Created by the Barreau du Québec in 2007, the prestigious Ad. E. (Advocatus Emeritus) honor acknowledges Guy’s significant contributions to the legal profession, his dedication and passion in training the future generation of lawyers, as well as his commitment to society.

Guy’s practice spans the Firm’s Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal offices. He appears frequently before the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as before the Superior Courts and Courts of Appeal of Ontario and Québec, the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal of Canada.

Further, Guy is a member of the Supreme Court of Canada Advocacy Institute and a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

His commitment and willingness to facilitate access to justice have been widely recognized. The 2011 Lexpert® Zenith award for a volunteer team (pro bono) was given to the team Guy led in representing Réjean Hinse in his civil suit for wrongful conviction against the provincial and federal governments. Guy has also been recognized in the 2012 editions of Chambers Global – The World’s Leading Lawyers, The Best Lawyers in Canada, The Lexpert/American Lawyer Guide to the Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada and Benchmark Canada – The Definitive Guide to Canada’s Leading Litigation Firms and Attorneys.
