The 2010 Canadian Pro Bono Awards have recognized Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) with the Canadian National Law Firm Award for contribution to the delivery of pro bono legal services across the country.

From representing Operation Go Home, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping street youth, to helping the United Way/Centraide Canada develop a Membership Agreement for more than 125 local United Way organizations across Canada, our commitment to public interest work continues to stand side by side with our commitment to provide the highest quality legal services to our clients. Other recent projects the Firm has been involved in include working with the Children's Legal Education Resource Centre in the development of the Child Advocacy Pro Bono Project in Calgary and, in Montréal, working with the Dr. Julien Foundation to provide pro bono legal services to children with difficulties and their families.

The Awards will be presented on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010 as part of the upcoming 3rd National Pro Bono Conference, to be held in Calgary, Alberta September 15, 16 and 17 at the Fairmont Palliser Hotel.
