BLG is pleased to announce that Mr. Neil Henderson, a highly experienced intellectual property lawyer, has joined the Firm’s Waterloo Region office. Neil brings a great depth of experience in Canadian, U.S. and international intellectual property law to the Firm and is also a qualified Canadian and U.S. patent agent and Canadian trademark agent.

Neil’s practice concentrates on IP licensing, the generation, prosecution and management of IP portfolios and on IP transactions in the fields of computer technology, software, telecommunications, electronics, medical systems and equipment and financial models, business methods and mechanical devices and systems.
In addition to his North American expertise, Neil spent four years in Japan where he worked as a technical consultant at a patent firm and as a patent and legal advisor to a private company. Neil is a member of Communitech, a member-led organization driving the growth and success of Waterloo Region’s technology sector. He is also a founder of the Kitchener-Waterloo Intellectual Property Group, a Fellow of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, a Past Chair of the Toronto Intellectual Property Group, a Chair of the Toronto Japanese Language School, and a member of the Licensing Executives Society.
