With India 's tenacious, impressive economic performance and the Canadian government's move to make the nation a high-priority destination for Indian investment, a vast number of opportunities have surfaced – and Canadians are starting to take note.

'It's almost more important to promote the opportunities for Indian businesses in Canada generally, and vice-versa, before focusing on any particular client's interests, says Manoj Pundit, a partner in the Toronto office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP.

'We've identified energy comprising oil and gas, fossil fuels and renewable energy, as well as natural resources and agriculture as prime clusters that will result in increased trade and investment,' says Manoj.
