Laura White brings extensive tax experience to national firm's Securities and Capital Markets Practice Group

TORONTO (October 27, 2008) – Laura White, a leading tax expert on investment-management industry issues, has joined the Securities and Capital Markets Practice as a partner in the Toronto offices of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP.

Ms. White is, in fact, returning to BLG after 10 years as a partner with Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP/Wilson & Partners LLP, where she led its investment-management tax practice.

Ms. White holds an LL.B. from Queens University and an LL.M. (Taxation) from York University. She has been recognized in the 2008 and 2009 editions of The Best Lawyers in Canada for tax and has been recommended annually by Lexpert as a pre-eminent tax practitioner in the area of investment funds and asset management.
