L'Équipe Spectra Inc. (Spectra), a private company operating in Montreal, Quebec was acquired by L'Aréna des Canadiens Inc. (Groupe CH) on December 1, 2013. Spectra owns and operates Metropolis and Maison du Festival and also has a long term contract to manage three of Québec’s top festivals: Montréal International Jazz Festival, Les Francofolies and Montréal en Lumière.

It is business as usual for Spectra, as Groupe CH’s intention is to preserve Spectra’s unique business and operational model.  Groupe CH which is controlled by the Molson family is a key player in the sports and entertainment market in the Province of Québec and a pillar in Montréal for over 200 years. They are also the owners of the Montreal Canadiens hockey team, the Centre Bell and also own and operate Evenko, which produces world class events at the Bell Centre and other venues, including the Metropolis. The Spectra acquisition is a major investment for Groupe CH in Québec culture.

L’Équipe Spectra Inc. was represented by BLG with a team consisting of Louis Clément and Jonathan Dorval.
