Acritas Spotlights Star Lawyers Based on Interviews with Leading General Counsel
Toronto (January 11, 2017) — Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) is pleased to announce that Rick Shaban, a partner at BLG who specializes in construction and infrastructure law, has been recognized as one of the top 30 lawyers globally in the first edition of Acritas Stars. This new database and report on the stand-out lawyers nominated by clients worldwide was developed by Acritas, a leading, independent market analysis and research firm.

The new Acritas Stars database and report are the result of an 18-month long survey of nearly 4,000 general counsel and other senior leaders at legal departments around the world. Participants were asked to name the exemplary counsel with whom they had worked, and to describe the particular characteristics that qualified these individuals to be outstanding, or "Star Lawyers", based on expertise, responsiveness, commercial outlook and integrated services.
BLG was also recently recognized by Acritas as the first choice among clients for bet-the-company litigation.
