Incoming Co-Chairs of BLG's Construction Group Appointed
Toronto (January 15, 2018) — Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) is pleased to announce that Richard H. Shaban and Jeffrey Vallis QC, FCIArb , have been appointed National Co-Chairs of BLG's internationally-recognized Construction Group.

Based in Toronto, Mr. Shaban has over thirty years' experience in this industry, bringing practical legal and industry-specific expertise to each client engagement. He has been actively involved in a large number of infrastructure projects – successfully leading transaction teams and closing many P3 deals. Rick also has extensive experience resolving project disputes, and he appears at every level of court including the Supreme Court of Canada.
Based in Calgary, Mr. Vallis leads the International Construction Projects Focus Group. He practises construction litigation and arbitration, and is recognized as one of the leading lawyers in Canada for construction law by the foremost legal rankings publications. He acts on behalf of owners, contractors, subcontractors, lenders and sureties in disputes arising from large-scale construction and engineering projects, principally in the infrastructure, industrial and commercial sectors.
