BLG’s Domestic (i.e., within Canada) Commercial Arbitration Group contains numerous professionals across all of BLG’s offices who provide top-level arbitration-related advice to our clients, including on drafting arbitration provisions, selecting and implementing appropriate rules of procedure, selecting suitable arbitrators, navigating the arbitration experience and determining the most effective and efficient method and strategy for resolving each client’s specific dispute or issue.Our Domestic Commercial Arbitration Group is committed to working closely with all clients, to find practical solutions and maximize positive outcomes. We have experience providing arbitration services to a number of industries, including energy, oil and gas, forestry and mining, electricity generation, intellectual property, information technologies, shareholder disputes, expropriations, commodities, telecommunications, insurance, banking, securities, medical and healthcare, and shipping and construction. When additional expertise is needed, the Group calls on professionals in other groups from across our full-service firm for comprehensive legal services. We also have significant experience representing clients before the courts in a variety of arbitration matters, including applications for interim or provisional measures and for homologation or annulment of arbitral awards.
